I spent nine hours yesterday afternoon at Zhengxin Hospital, waiting for my turn to have a medical inquiry on my heart problem. Previously, my family doctor referred me to a cardiologist of the hospital for further check and advises, but the appointments of the day had been full (as well as all other days available of the month). So I gave the nurse the referral from my family doctor and she put me on the list as an additional outpatient: the last one, #256. Goodness me, no! In the interim, I went out and walked along the bunk path on either side of the long, winding ditch beside the hospital for nearly an hour. It is a not bad residential area in Taipei city, particularly for its adjacency to the hospital and another famous one: Vetran Greneral. Time was approaching eleven PM when finally my turn came. The doctor, looked a little tired, patiently asked questions from his last outpatient of the day: me. He could not determine the next step I should take now according to the existing information of examination reports, so he arranged an appointmnet of myocardial perfusion SF (I have no ideal of what it is; maybe it is kind of blood flow test), and another round for me in December.
