Subject is the drama adapted from a Hunan folklore, 劉海砍樵, a legendary love story between a woodman and a white fairy fox.  The drama is played in an outdoor "theater" that is just located at half way up to that famous 天門山, one of the hottest meccas in Yuanjiajie(袁家界, adjacent to Zhangjiajie張家界).

The drama is a typical Zhangyimou-styled show, though it is not produced nor directed by Zhang himself.  Intriguing and moving storyline, magnificient settings, splendid audio-visual effect, excellent narration in singing, and the spectacular performance by the actors and actresses all made the one-hour-and-a-half show a highly spiritual process of catharsis to audience, with the feeling of sorrow, happiness, smiles, and tears interwoven when they were leaving the "theater". 

I bought a VCD of the show at exit.  Somehow or other I will find a 70-inch TV to play it with and watch the show on screen again.
