Andrew Bogut's Golden State Warriors continue to load up with talent for a run at the NBA Championship with former All-Star centre Jermaine O'Neal joining the club. O'Neal will be a back-up for Melbourne-born Bogut led light bulbs, according to ESPN.com. The Warriors also agreed on Tuesday to a deal with free-agent point guard Toney Douglas. The Warriors failed in their bid to sign the biggest name on the free market, Dwight Howard, last week in a reported deal that involved trading Bogut to the LA Lakers, but they have been one of the most aggressive clubs in the offseason. Last week they snared Denver Nuggets swingman Andre Iguodala to a four-year $US48 million ($A52.86 million) deal. O'Neal, 34, averaged 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 55 games for the Phoenix Suns last season. Douglas, 27, averaged 7.5 points and 2.1 assists last season for the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings. The Warriors, with Bogut playing with a fractured angle, were knocked out in the second round of the NBA playoffs earlier this year by the San Antonio Spurs artful beads embroidery. |
