“The score's tied. Only 20 seconds are left. Nan-Shan〈南山中學〉has the ball. Teng An-Cheng〈鄧安誠〉, Nan-Shan's best shooter , takes the ball. He passes the ball back to his teammate, Chang Ren-wei〈鄭人維〉. Chang passes the ball back to Teng. Now, Teng gets a chance to score. Can he make it ? ”

     The HBL season starts in September and ends in March of the following year. Students and sports fans cheer their favorite teams. Take Taipei First Girl High School〈北一女中〉for example. When a game is played in their own school gym, thousands of students come to cheer for their players. To many students, SBL games are not just about winning or losing. Instead,it is a way for students to show how much they care about their own schools. Besides, the player play hard because they might have a chance to join Taiwan's national team, or even someday be paid to play basketball.

    More and more people are watching HBL games . Both TV and radio stations have noted the growing number of fans, so they have started to fight for the broadcasting rights. With these crazy fans,HBL fever is certain to continue growing.

    “Teng dunks the ball！ My God, he made it！He scored！Nan-shan won at the last second！What a beautiful shot！He scored in the final two seconds！The fans are going crazy.They're shouting so loudly that I can hardly hear my own voice. This is one of the most exciting games I've ever seen！”
