此酒Wine Spectator給予93分，Wine Enthusiast給予90分，San Jose Mercury News也給予91分，品質已獲得各家葡萄酒專業評論的肯定，再加上該酒廠在加州素負盛名，因此酒本身應有相當的水準；而此酒在好市多一瓶賣NT$1299，如果換算成美金，再把美國平均約8-10%的州稅與聯邦稅算進去，相當於約美金US$37，而根據WS的資料記錄，此酒2000/11/15在美國的零售價為US$75，因此這支酒的價格可說是在美國當地購買價格的一半，這還沒算美國到台灣的運費，所以好市多賣這支酒的價格實在便宜得離譜! 我上網查了15家美國當地的葡萄酒賣店，平均的零售價為美金US$77左右，與WS的記錄差不多；因此我們台灣人可說是用美國當地人買此酒價格的五折，來買這支美國當地酒---更何況是一支WS給93分的高分酒，我個人雖未喝過，但仍認為非常值得推薦給各位。

Sterling酒廠成立於1964年，算是加州一家小有歷史且頗具規模的酒廠，生產二、三十款各式紅白酒，總年產量超過35萬箱，是個大型酒廠；好市多賣的這支Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve就是它旗下最高檔的酒款，平均年產量多達7500箱，一般而言並不難買到；好市多之前曾賣過1994與1995年份，那時它的酒標與現在的1997年份並不相同，是黑色的，且寫著”SVR”字樣(即Sterling Vineyard Reserve的縮寫)，我喝過幾次1994與1995年份的SVR，做得相當不錯，濃郁厚實，是屬於甜美型態的標準頂級加州酒；而由於1997又是加州的頂好年份，因此我自己買了二瓶，準備放個幾年再喝。有關此酒廠的詳細介紹，可至 www.sterlingvineyards.com 查詢。

Another winner from the '97 vintage, this is firm and tight, concentrated and compact, with detailed currant, black cherry, plum and spicy, toasty oak. Holds its focus, and picks up a pretty mocha on the aftertaste. Best from 2002 through 2012. 7,500 cases made. (7500 cases produced)

Wine Enthusiast: 90 points , 2000 Nov
Luscious aromas of dark cherry, raspberries and vanilla, with pungent spice and even bacon notes, mark the nose of this attractive and well-balanced wine. Mouthfilling black-currant flavors display style and depth, and the texture is even and comfortable. The lengthy finish has slightly sweet fruitcake notes along with cedar and pepper accents.

Still a bit tight and young, but dense and balanced with concentrated fruit flavors and excellent structure.
