仔細讀了歌詞幾遍，關鍵在最後一段，才知道，原來主角是一名陣亡的兵士，屍骨由牧師與衛士，運送還鄉，埋在老家旁的老橡樹下，青青故園草之中，歌詞前面描述都是在夢境，故鄉甜美的回憶，堪稱最悲情的鄉村歌曲。現在正處於俄烏戰爭之際，雙方陣亡無數，此時聽了這首歌，更加有感而悲痛，在Tom Jones雄厚帶點磁性感情豐富的嗓音，百聽不厭，每聽均感動不已。
