《孫子兵法》第六篇：虛實
Chapter 6: Weak Points and Strong

1. 孫子曰：凡先處戰地而待敵者佚，後處戰地而趨戰者勞。

孫子說：大凡先到戰場等待敵軍的部隊，有時間準備能夠以逸待勞因此有利於戰鬥，然而後到戰場的部隊則因倉促求戰，戰鬥起來易陷入勞困所以處於劣勢。

Sun Tzu said: Whoever first arrived at the battlefield awaiting the enemy is able to prepare for the war early thus has the advantage for the battle. Whoever arrived at the battlefield late rushing to engage in the war can be exhausted and thus disadvantageous.

2. 故善戰者，致人而不致于人。

所以善於戰鬥的部隊，會採取主動積極的態度控制敵人，不讓自己陷入被控制的地位。

Thus the troop skillful in fighting acts aggressively to control the enemy but will not be controlled.

3. 能使敵自至者，利之也；能使敵不得至者，害之也。

想要誘使敵人自願前來戰場，就得讓他們認為這樣做對他們有利；想要使敵人不願前來，就得讓他們誤以為前來有害。

In order to induce the enemy to voluntarily move toward the battlefield, must let them believe it beneficial to do so. To prevent the enemy from drawing near, must let them mistakenly think it is harmful to get close.

4. 故敵佚能勞之，飽能飢之，安能動之。

所以當敵人處於安逸狀態時騷擾他們使其疲憊不堪，如果敵人有足夠的糧食就想法子讓他們挨餓，如果敵人安然不動就誘使他們騷動起來。

Hence if the enemy is at rest, harass them till they become exhausted; if with abundant food, make them in hunger; if rather quietly staying in camps stir them up.

5. 出其所不趨，趨其所不意。

出兵時要針對敵人難以救援的陣地，攻擊時要選擇對方意想不到的時間和地點。

When dispatching the troop focus on enemy’s garrison that is difficult to rescue, when attacking select the time and the place that are unexpected by the opponent.
