每當嚴肅文章寫不出來的時候，我就寫一點好笑的來填充版面。

【Yes, Prime Minister】什麼人讀什麼報 首相與常任秘書、事務秘書在討論各家報紙的讀者屬性： 常任秘書: The only way to understand the press is to remember that they pander to their readers' prejudices. (要搞懂媒體，就要記住報紙總是迎合讀者的偏見) 首相: Don't tell me about the press; I know exactly who reads the papers. The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country. (每日鏡報的讀者自以為在治理國家) The Guardian is read by people who think they ought to run the country. (衛報的讀者認為應該由他們來治理國家) The Times is read by the people who actually do run the country. (泰晤士報讀者是實際治理國家的人) The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country. (每日郵報的讀者是那些治理國家的人的老婆) The Financial Times is read by people who own the country. (金融時報的讀者擁有這個國家) The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by another country. (晨星報的讀者，認為這個國家應該由別國來治理) And The Daily Telegraph is read by people who think that it is. (每日電訊報的讀者則真的認為如此) 常任秘書: Oh, and Prime Minister, what about people who read The Sun? (那大腸報的讀者是那些人呢?) 事務秘書: Sun readers don't care who runs the country as long as she's got big tits. (大腸報的讀者不在乎誰來治理國家，只要她有大奶就好。) 太陽報是著名的八卦小報，向來以第三版的美女裸照為賣點。本片播出當時，首相正好是柴契爾夫人，不知道她是否符合這項條件。
