總統選戰早已偷跑、吵吵鬧鬧,把史上最「割喉」的立委選戰掩蓋無聲;

†††
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, HERE, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least TWICE as FAST as that!"
(From Lewis Carroll's "Through The Looking Glass")

I will remind myself to pick up this book when I visit during CNY. I should've picked it up a long while back when I read about it here. Those NY Times articles the blogger included are very telling.

it is a farce that former DPP "turncoats" such as 蘇盈貴 and 李永萍 have become sort of born-again virgins in their efforts to protect what/who they used to attack.

the massacre in Nanking happened over 60 years ago. should it still be an issue???

the fact is a good majority of Taiwanese were oppressed for decades by a vicious dictator and his supporters (apologize for my american education of CKS and the old KMT). why would/should a small minority oppose to the eradication of memorials dedicated to this fascist?

If this "new" KMT wants to win the presidential election, it must show it's for the greater good of the people rather than being a remnant of a fascist regime! Hope Ma stops making extreme comments matching CSB's.

oh, and contrary to what Demos Chiang said, here's a historical quote from a prominent American... "She (Soong Mei-ling) can talk beautifully about democracy. But she does not know how to live democracy". Irony coming from a lifelong CKS/KMT supporter.

I hope KMT wakes up before 3/22/08!

Good points, T.

I usually do not reply to comments on my Non-F&B articles, but all are welcome to express their views though.

However, I'd like to recommend a good book on the "228 Incident" --
