這兩天有一則關於總統車隊行駛國道引發民怨的新聞，這件事在今天有了轉折：原來某媒體在這則新聞中所刊登的頭版照片是「合成照片」，此車隊並非現任總統的車隊，而是前任總統車隊的移花接木。看到這樣的新聞，相信很多人除了搖頭之外，還會問一句：這樣的事遲早會被發現，怎麼還是會有人做呢？俗諺云：Murder will out.，就是這個意思。Murder will out. 直譯是「謀殺（的消息）會走漏」，意思是 Crime or wrongdoing will eventually be discovered or even punished.（犯罪及惡行最終會被發現，甚至被懲罰），亦即 If you don’t want to get caught, don’t do it in the first place.（如果不想被抓，就別做它），用來警告人「不要以為偷偷摸摸做的事情沒有人知道，事情總有洩漏的一天」！

A: I’ve finally landed my dream job! I’m on cloud nine.

B: Congratulations. But don’t you have to have a master’s degree to be accepted into that company?

A: That’s right. Hee hee.

B: But you only have a high school diploma… Did you forge a diploma?

A: Yeah, yeah, you got me. But this only proves that I’m really good. Otherwise, how could I have fooled that whole bunch of interviewers?

B: Murder will out. Be careful; the skeleton will one day fall out of the closet.

A: 我終於找到夢想中的工作了！真是樂透了。

B: 恭喜你啊。不過那間公司不是一定要碩士才會錄取嗎？

A: 是沒錯啊，嘻嘻。

B: 可是你明明只有高中畢業啊…。難道你偽造畢業證書？

A: 對啦對啦，被你抓到了。不過這只證明了我很厲害啊，不然怎麼騙得過那一堆面試官呢？

B: 若要人不知，除非己莫為。你小心，事情總有被揭發的一天！
