有一個人對他的爸媽很不恭敬，不是罵就是打，但是，對仙佛卻很尊敬。

There was a man who did not respect his parents, but often scolded and

beat them instead. But strangely he respected Buddhas to a great extent.

他聽人說，普陀山有觀音菩薩，他就坐船到普陀山。結果有一個老人家就出來跟他說，真佛不在這個地方，已到你家去了，你趕快回家，如果看到有一個人鞋子、衣服都反穿了，那一位就是觀音菩薩。

Once he traveled to Pu Tuo Mountains hoping to meet Guan Yin Bodhisattva

in person. He did not make it, but ended up meeting an old man telling him

the Bodhisattva had arrived in his home and that the Bodhisattva would

be dressed in the wrong way.

這個人回到家已經三更半夜，媽媽正在睡覺，他就不顧一切拼命地敲門，他媽媽聽到兒子敲門的聲音，心想兒子回來了，得快把門打開，否則兒子會生氣。媽媽很緊張匆忙地開門，鞋子、衣服都反穿了，

Immediately he dashed and as he reached home it was already midnight.

He knocked at the door hard and desperately while his mother was sleeping.

She knew it was her son and so she nervously hastened to answer the door.

She went out of her bed in such a hurry that she was completely unaware that

she had dressed herself in the wrong manner.

這時，兒子才猛然發現，原來觀音菩薩就是他不是罵就是打的媽媽。

When she opened the door, the man saw his mother dressed in the wrong way

and suddenly realized his mother was in fact Guan Yin Bodhisattva.

He knelt down in tears asking for forgiveness.

所以，堂上活佛要先珍惜；父母是我們在家的活佛，家有二老如有二寶。

The point of this story is that: Our parents are living Buddhas in our homes.

They are treasures that we all should cherish for our lives.
