嚴寬並行教子女

Be strict and generous to educate children

黃香九歲能溫蓆，孔融四歲能讓梨，那你們幾歲了？你們會做什麼？

Huang Xiang at the age of nine knows to warm the bed in winter and cool it

in summer for her father. Kong Ron at age four yields the bigger pears

to his elder brother out of courtesy. How old are you now?

What filial deeds have you done?

做夢、看電視、玩電腦，還是家事留給媽媽做？ 

Are you still dreaming, watching TV, playing computer games, and

leaving all the housework to your mother?

所以，孝順很重要。修道是從平時，踏實去修，不是講一些神奇怪異的事，

In fact, performing filial piety is very important. It must be done solidly and

practically, but not in words.

古聖先賢也是這樣腳踏實地而修成的，不是靠怪力亂神，那只是欺騙人的把戲而已，跟修行一點關係都沒有。

All the saints and sages achieved success in their cultivation through

solid and practical efforts, not by working wonders, spells, or playful tricks

that deceived people. They have nothing to do with cultivation.
