Your daughter did a very encourging decision! Thanks to her!
The first class of medical school is Anatomy, and yes it was a shocking experience at first... seeing all those "bodies" lying on the tables... so cold... and yet so peaceful! They were my Teachers! They donated their bodies and helped us learn our medical knowledge... even though it's been a while ago, but I still remember...
I spent like 5-6 days everyweek in the anatomy lab... sometimes I even was there alone or with just a couple of students... I never felt afraid...
In fact it's a very interesting experiences... and I honestly can say that I learned the most from dissecting the body... Hours of standing there, just like operating on a human's body.. and I think it's all worth it... and it's a ONCE in a life time experience!
Ps. Not long ago, I told my mom that if I died, I'd donate my fresh organs and help those that needed transplants... and save lots of lives... because our bodies are nothing... compare to saving many others' lives!
and yeh my mom was very shocked! (not sure if she was happy or sad about my decision!)
