When China's Mainland successfully launched the rocket, carrying space laboratory Tiangong 11, at 10 PM Mid-Autumn evening, Taiwan politicians were busy arguing about who should be responsible for the flood prevention they are incpable of grappling with, and fussing over if should have there been a "typhoon leave" or not.  Ordinary people cared only about whether the typhoon would leave Taiwan earlier so that they could have a BBQ binge in the festival.  There were few reports concerning Tiangong 11 could I find in Taiwan's media, and the last thing on islanders' mind were those little but positive happiness and the ugly political infighting they within their limited horizon. (BTW, I've told you before that I really hate to see people of insatiable appetite around BBQ grills instead of peacefully around the round table at home in the festival, for that is an utter insult to Chinese traditional culture.)

Furthermore, since some islanders disdain the word "中", and some TV anchorperson has already changed the idiom "古今中外" into "古今台外", so I suggest the islanders use 台秋節 as a substitute for the festival.  Go ahead, change it!
