The other day Premier Li Kegiang announced the "中國製造2025規劃綱要", claiming that by the time of 2015 China will attain a "one plus ten" achievement which includes a holistic industrial planning and ten speicialized items in vairous fields of technologies on a par with most advanced countries nowadays, and given some extra time before 2049, 100th anniversary of the founding of New China; across the board, all of her industrial items will be on the cutting edge. I didn't see much relevant report in Taiwan media(Maybe I don't read them often), except in the 王孟源's blog of China Times. Unlike Mr. Wang, who owns himself a great deal of science and financial background, I am nearly ignorant about modern technologies. But according to logical analysis and historical reasoning, like Mr. Wang, I have full confidence that China is bound to succeed because of her abundant money and finacial capablity, ample human resources in high techlogies, her efficiency to carry out a plan; and more importantly, her will to power and can-do spirit. Will Taiwan be able to emulate the achievements of China's Mainland, that is objectively impossible. To avoid its limited technological advantages that has been graudally disappearing, all Taiwan can do is climb on the "China fever" bandwagon, and make it quick. Of course, it should yield to political arragement in the first place. Dear islanders, it's no use saying that China is just boasting, cursing that their plan won't be realized in an undemocratic society like Mainland, or just lying inert and lamenting until the doomsday comes. Do something for yourselves and for our children. |
