Ms. Huang, a legislator of the People Party, used to be a councilperson whom I voted in favor of twice when I lived in Neihu. As a lawyer, she would provide pro bono service, along with other items, in my neighborhood during her tenure. Because she is much younger than I am, and a petite lady with short hair, she always gave me an image of "the girl next door." Since Ke P summoned her to be the vice mayor of Taipei, she has gradually become a controversial figure. I do not know exactly what got her involved; all I know is her countenance has changed, not just the appearance, but the air etched: from an enthusiastic representative to a detestable politician. Phase comes from the heart, indeed! |
