The boys and girls born in 2005 is a relatively unhappy generation in Taiwan. Their golden age, 16-18, shall be remembered as the bleak days of masks on their young, bright faces, seemingly covering up the most animate period of their entire lives. I feel deeply sorry for them. But the doom ahead for those boys is there further. In 2024, their compulsory military service will be extended from just four months to a year. Though I dont want to see that happen, still there will be the odds that those boys would fight a meaningless, aimless, and hopeless war during their services against much stronger PLA for whatever Taidu or Dutai administrations, and their American dad. Poor kids, you may die for nothing. Again, I pity for their faded lives.
