今天是2019年4月24日，也是康橋國際學校十年級單車環台的第三天。今天的出發順序由我們10C為第一班，而今天的路程是從花蓮壽豐到台東池上。整個行程大約耗時了9個小時，在這整個過程中包含了休息與用餐。 起初，我們所騎乘的主要地區為鄉村地帶，所以大家都沒有興致，因為所見之物皆是重複無趣的景色，而且過程時常遭受太陽無情的照射，道路上也毫無遮蔽。但是當我們在中午用餐過後，一切都開始變得有趣起來了。綿綿不斷的山巒與大自然的聲音開始吸引了人們的注意，而原野中綠油油的稻田則映襯著藍藍的天空，讓整個景色顯得更加吸引動人。就算是無情的太陽與它那致命的光線，也無法阻擋人們想觀賞美景的慾望。 為了能夠更不受打擾的欣賞美景，人們紛紛塗上了厚重的防曬油，而且人們都不分性別為了讓全班繼續前進的大喊「加油」。整個班級一起同心協力的向前進，而且沒有任何一個人因為口號傳遞失誤而受傷。最後，我覺得這種情況就如同一句話所說「重要的不是你的速度，而是你的耐心及毅力」。 It is Wednesday the twenty fourth of April 2019, the third day of the tenth grade bicycle trip. Today we travelled from Hualien to Taitung. We took about nine hours to get here, lunch and breaks included. Class C was the first class to leave this time and the first to get to Papago Resort (unlike on Monday).
For the beginning we were not in farmland. There wasn’t much to enjoy and there wasn’t a lot of obviously rural houses. After we had lunch however, that changed. We eventually got to a point where around us was a whole load of nature. Mountains and mountains and fields upon fields of rice. It was also an incredibly sunny day. People most likely got a minor sunburn and realized that tomorrow, the twenty fifth of April, they should apply a lot of sun cream to avoid getting a more severe sunburn.
As well as being hot and sunny, it was also very humid. So humid, in fact, that it felt as if it was hard to breathe sometimes. The beauty of the landscape made up for the heat however. It made some feel as though they should carry on to see as much as they could. There were people all across the class shouting “Keep going!” when it seemed as though our class was slowing down.
The class worked together as well as they always have. One shouts a command like “Keep right!” or “Slow down!” and the rest of class repeat it in a chain. It was a successful day as nobody fell over due to being unable to hear a command (however few people fell over for unknown reasons) and the entire class followed all commands spoken.
