上午烈日高照，我跟著班上的同學，一個接著一個緩慢的爬上北宜公路。看著眼前無盡的上坡，我真的好想放棄。北宜公路雖然不如華城路陡峭，卻多了十幾公里。就在我要停下來的時候，同學們之間的互相鼓勵，振奮我積極向上的心。好不容易撐到午餐，又聽到還有十五公里的上坡，即使覺得登頂的希望渺茫，我仍堅守校長在開始之前提到的三個字：一直踩。過程中，儘管我三番兩次的想要牽車，然而，我仍憑著意志力，咬牙撐上北宜公路的最高點。到達頂點的那一刻，我感到無比的興奮與放鬆。

       在那一刻我明白，如果沒有前面的堅持與努力，在眼前的風景就不會如此美麗。在人生旅途中我們會面臨許多挫折與瓶頸，但我們絕對不能放棄希望。只要相信自己的能力並與摯友相互打氣，在努力的盡頭一定會遇見更好的自己。

      The sun, burning through my skin. One after one, we rode up Beiyi Road, moving at the speed of a turtle. My legs aching, my body in pain, my motivation sinking, as I rode up the endless uphills. Even though Beiyi road wasn’t as steep as Huacheng road, it was constant uphill for 10 kilometers longer. Right when I was about to give up, my peers encouraged me with their heartfelt words, motivating me to continue and boosting my confidence.

      After lunch, we heard that there were still 15 more kilometers of uphill. We felt the difficultness of reaching the top of Beiyi road, but we thought about the three words Principle Hsu had mentioned at the opening ceremony, “Keep on Riding.” During the ride, I had thought about giving up so many times, but I still completed the ride of Beiyi road with my willpower, my mentality.

       When I completed the ride, I understood that we would never be successful without hard work. Life is full of challenges, but we should never give up. If we always believe in ourselves and encourage one another, we will all succeed.
