At the age of 19, Eva Lind made her professional debut as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “Magic Flute” at the Vienna State Opera and starred as Lucia in Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” in Basel; these two sensational events marked the beginning of an impressive and spectacular international career which so far has allowed her to appear on the world’s major opera and concert stages such as Munich, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Hamburg, Cologne, Zurich, Milan, Naples, Paris, London and Madrid.

Lind was born in Innsbruck, where she started singing as a teenager. After studying philosophy at the University of Vienna she continued her professional training as a singer. Wilma Lipp was one of her teachers.

She’s all into opera

Artistically she focusses mainly on singing opera and appears extensively on stage performing soprano roles with both dedication and brilliance. Her repertoire includes Constanze (“The Abduction from the Seraglio”), Gilda (“Rigoletto”), Juliette (“Roméo et Juliette”), Sophie (“Der Rosenkavalier”), Amina (“La Sonnambula”), Rosalinde (“Die Fledermaus”), Violetta (“La Traviata”) and many more.

Besides opera, Eva Lind’s repertoire embraces a wide range of “German Lieder” by composers such as Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, Wolf, Strauss, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Berg and songs by Fauré, Debussy, Satie and others.

Her concert repertoire includes “Missa in C Minor” (Mozart), “Missa Solemnis” and “Symphony No. 9” (Beethoven), “The Creation” (Haydn), “German Requiem” (Brahms), “Hymn of Praise” (Mendelssohn), “Carmina Burana” (Orff), “Gloria” (Poulenc) and many more.

Eva has also been invited to perform at major festivals: The Salzburg Festival, The Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Arena di Verona, Glyndebourne Festival, Munich Opera Festival, Schubertiade Feldkirch to name a few.

Being critically acclaimed, Eva Lind, born in Innsbruck (Austria), has enjoyed performing with stars like Agnes Baltsa, José Carreras, Thomas Hampson and Placido Domingo, as well as working in close collaboration with the world’s most noted conductors including Riccardo Muti, Claudio Abbado, Sir Georg Solti, Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Sir Neville Marriner, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Kurt Masur, Sir André Previn and Seji Ozawa. She has become well-known to the public and internationally successful.

The TV audience loves her 

From 2003 to 2007, Eva Lind hosted the show “Straße der Lieder” (“Street of Songs”) on ARD (Germany’s oldest public broadcasting network), proving once more that her artistic versatility extends beyond the stage and into the area of popular music.
