      出生於1965年的蘿琳娜, 是愛爾蘭裔加拿大籍人,  5歲時首次接觸鋼琴,  18歲在英國期間喜歡上了豎琴，從而造就了日後的她，1985年她錄製了首張豎琴專輯《Elemental》，並自組公司出版發行。1991年在參觀了威爾斯的一個塞爾特文化展後，受自公元前500年來塞爾特先民在愛爾蘭、蘇格蘭的血淚事跡深深感動。在接下來的幾張專輯中，她充分融入了自己的人文感觸與特質， 開啟了一股音樂回歸的浪潮,  並終其一生致力於發揚家鄉塞爾特(Celtic)的文化，也藉由音樂將塞爾特多元的文化遺產，昂揚地對著世界歌唱。

      她的音樂猶如中世紀的吟遊詩人,  吟唱著意境優美的古詩詞，旋律中有聖潔的宗教感召,  神游異國風情的靈動，歌聲中帶著極其濃郁的感情色彩與那充滿靈魂魅力的女聲吟唱。

        這首歌,  來自1989年羅琳娜第三張專輯" Parallel Dreams" , 是一段流傳自中古世紀的古老殉情故事,  沒有國仇家恨的悲涼,  無須澎湃壯烈的激盪,  只是在歌者的柔思中,  娓娓道來一段悠遠懷想的愛情故事。當此靜夜時刻,  於吟遊歌者聲聲句句的牽引中,  我們的思緒,  又如何能不隨著那恬靜優美的歌聲,  飄盪在那遙遠的夢想國度 ,  讓每一串豎琴撥弄的清音, 在我們的心靈深處深深迴響 。
