這句老掉牙的中文口語在英文中有幾句對應的翻譯，
即 if worse come(s) to worst，if worst come(s) to worst，
其中若為直述語氣，則動詞用 comes，若為假設語氣，則動詞用 come。

此外，worse 或 worst 前面也可加上定冠詞 the。
例如：Check with the company to see if they can fix the printer,
if the worst comes to the worst, we’ll just buy a new one.
(去找那家公司看看能不能修理這台印表機，
