In later October people here in America had just celebrated their Halloween, two days' ago they enjoyed the family togetherness of Thanksgiving Day, and now they started to prepare for the forthcoming Christmas.  From ghost masks and grotesque costume, pumpkins and turkeys, to mistletoes, rosemaries, and bells on Christmas trees, (white) Americans have strived for  maintaining the traditions of their own, year after year, and people in other parts of the world all respect (or even envy) Americans' way of life,which might have been widely regarded as the one among modern civilization of highest standards.  

But the road led to such a "civilization" hadn't been that "civilized" as you thought. Attached below I would like to share with you two articles concerning the history of whom and how the thanks were given to: from American Indians to the God.
