Internet Censorship?

Now the biggest and most lucrative table tennis(ping-pong) tournament, China Open, is on at city of Chengdu.  But just as the games began, the general head coach of China teams, Liu Guoliang, was dismissed from his job for unknown reasons.  More miserable news ensued: four top players of China men team collectively defaulted in the quarter final, or threw the matches, for backing up their coach, who may probably be thought of having fallen prey to unfair treatment.

All Mainland websites did report this unhappy piece of news, but I couldn't find any responses left by netizens.  It was quite weird; chances are the responses or relevant comments that in favor of Liu and his players had been all erased by censorship system.  Well, I deem it fit that the authorities should give an explanation to the public even there were problems they didn't want to reveal, for table tennis is China's pride and joy, and the event would arise reverberations, even national furor.

P.S.  The event seemingly didn't affect China's women team; four good girls just now enveloped all spots of the semi-final.
