On Vacation.......and House Hunting........

Last Thursday evening Mr. C decided to leave for Oregon one day earlier than the scheduled plan, so here we are, Oregon!

It feels so nice that we can walk in the woods, see the seals, seal lions, whales and play on the beach, which we can't do in the desert city at all. We are so happy to get away from the heat in Phoenix.

Another reason we came here is to do house hunting here in Oregon, as Mr. C and I can't stand the hot weather any longer, we decide that it is time to move. Our house in Phoenix now is put on the market for sale, I hope it will be sold in a short time, and we can find a house here in Oregon during this stay.

Good thing is that this motel has the wireless Internet, and we bought a Laptop for a decent price (which was $989, but for a clearance price at $371.99) with everything. Unfortunately, this Laptop doesn't have Chinese input software, so I can't type Chinese now.

We were so happy to see VJ playing sand on the beach, this is the first time for him to be on the seaside. He was so curious about everything. He wants to go to the seaside every day to collect the shells, to see the marine mammals. Mr. C and I believe that this will be the good place for VJ growing up here in Oregon.

Such a coincident!! I've lived in Arizona for 7 years and moved to Oregon last December. You'll definately love Summer in Oregon. Despite the raining part in winter, the rest of the year is lovible!!

HaHaHa, I am not kidding, we are moving to Oregon! But we are planning to move to the Southern Oregon Coast area named Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston, which reminds me of the roads in San Francisco. The weather here is very nice, we came here 2 years ago; and we liked it here. It does not rain a lot here (at least, I haven't seen it rains since we came here.), but it is fogge around Charleston sometimes( as which is a fishing harbor). According to the local residences, even it is very nice in winter time; basically, the weather here is almost the same all year round. I don't know how the weather in winter would be like for me, but you know what? after living in the hot desert city, I prefer cold to hot! You can't do anything outside in the heat, it is just too hot. Next time, if you have time on vacation, you should come here instead of going to Portland or Northern Oregon where it rains alot there. I think you will love being here. I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can always adjust my sails to reach my destination.

When I moved to this company, one of items in the package was for me to move to Oregon, with great relocation coverage. I never took the offer. Even now, I still have that option. All the memory came back to more than 10 years ago. When I was a thinking about moving out from LA area. It rains so much during both of my interview trips to Oregon, once to Portland, once to near the Washington State border. It was horrible, and I swore that I would never work for those companies if I have to move there. 6 years ago, when I received another package that allowed me to move out of the sunny California, with the chance to move in another great house in Portland, I did not do it neither. Instead, my boss and I convinced the company to put more resource in Silicon Valley, where it becomes the SV headquarter now. The difference is: It is summary time, Oregon is a paradise. In the winter time, it is going to be like Northern Taiwan. Just let me know whether you miss the weather in Taiwan or not. Other than that, Oregon is not a bad place. I heard that the unemployeement package was great, too... Enjoy your trip, and please take some pictures of the gorge. I never get time to go there during such a great season.

To Monkeyboy: Yes, this new laptop does use XP operation system. However, this laptop is my husband's, if I downloaded the Chinese input, some appliactions of this laptop would become Chinese, and he can't read the Chinese. So I do not wanna ruin his laptop. But I do know that I can download the Chinese input into XP operation system, that is how I did to my PC at Phoenix. Thannk you for sharing your information with me. To 安然: Oregon isreally a good place, the weather here is so nice, we do like it here. Thank you for your greeting! To LindaMa: Yes, we did bring the jackets with us, the weather here is a bit chilly when it is couldy and windy, but we all enjoy it here. To 3JJ: Thank you for your greeting, we are still trying to find the right house for us, I hope that we can find it soon as well. To Imagination-in-Appril: The heat in summer in Phoenix is unbelievable. However, the weather in winter is nice that we get lots of "Snowbirds" coming to Phoenix in winter time. PS: If you wanna come here to see the cactus, the best time is in winter time to come to Phoenix, especially, when it snows in New York! I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can always adjust my sails to reach my destination.

If your laptop use XP as operating system, you can choose Chinese input method. That's what I do with my computer. 螢幕上會出現小鍵盤可以用。睡美猴到此夢遊...ZZZ...
