這首歌反覆唱出…Dont they know its the end of the world,(難道它們不知道這是世界末日，)cause you dont love me anymore?(因為你不再愛我了)，歌調哀怨、悲傷，曲調優美，歌詞裡簡單說到，失去了愛情，就是世界末日，確實如此，在現實的生活裡，沒有愛，是空洞、泛白的，是情愛的世界末日，不是灰色，是藍藍的憂傷(老漁翁淺註2020-08-11)。歌詞整理如下：
