Don't fear to fail

It's a very easy article. I pick out the good sayings as below:
*instead of worrying about failure, reach for success
*fear of failure is common, but it doesn't have to paralyze you
*trying new things is worth the risk of failure
*failure can move you toward success
*you matter because of who you are, not what you can or can't do

*success and failure don't define who you are

I'm impressed by a research from hospital intern. It says when you face the death, you regret what you didn't do,not what you have done.
Only way to deal with fear of failure is to face it.
Always smile, it makes you pretty, pretty makes you happy, then you won't fear everything!

Located on the ocean nearer to UK than Denmark (but belonging to
Denmark), Faroe islands are described as being unspoiled, unexplored, unbelievable.
It features short sunshine hour, fresh air, tall mountains, fascinating fog, etc.
People can enjoy cycling to see beautiful landscapes, diving to have good sight of the
nature under ocean and birdwatching down from sea level to high cliff where storm petrels fly.
These 18 islands, including other small islets, are formed to be an autonomous district of
Denmark. Fishery is the main industry.

Human society is a tightly knitted and highly complex organism. The people living in it are deeply interdependent on each other, and they follow an intricate mechanism to learn and process their own individual expertise. Therefore, it’s wise to let a professional to handle your problem for 3 reasons.
1. The problem may be anything but straightforward. To do a job is one thing; however, to finish it well is another thing.
2. Choosing the required materials or equipments isn’t easy. It may cost you more time and money to solve a problem. The cost/ performance ratio may be far bigger than 1.
3. The problem might be dangerous. To handle an unfamiliar tool or material is a danger. A delay or a botch not only means losing time and money; it might be a risk of losing the business and clients.

Cannes Film Festival

Cannes was just a small resort village locating in south of France during the 1930s. The city might not strike us to host the world’s most famous film festival at all. The motion cinema was first invented in France, but it happened in Paris, not Cannes. So, why chose Cannes and why government took action to hold the festival?

Its story dates back to the 1932, the year when the first international competitive film festival was held in Venice, Italy.  The awards, at early days, were given to those outstanding films with no doubt.  As the time moving on, the official film selection and prizes began to favor the countries of the fascist alliance, especially Germany and Italy.  A group of critics and filmmakers in France then decided to petition the government to run an alternative film festival against Venice film festival.

Some locations were considered for the festival, but the final choice came down to either Biaritz on the Atlantic coast or Cannes on the Mediterranean.  Cannes was chosen mainly because the city government promised to build up a dedicated venue for this event. Of course, today the city is labelled by its sunny and charming location and most of us assume that is the reason the city was chosen.

Cannes Film Festival has become an important showcase along with other international festivals like Venice Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.  As Forbes point out, “Cannes offers an opportunity to determine a particular country’s image of its cinema and generally foster the notion that European cinema is ART cinema.”

What is food loss and food waste?

Food loss and food waste refer to the decrease of food in subsequent stages of the food supply chain intended for human consumption. Food is lost or wasted throughout the supply chain, from initial production down to final household consumption.

Key figures as below,

1/3 of all food is spoiled or squandered before it is consumed by people

The waste of 1.3 billion tons of food each year not only damaged to the environment and also causes

economic losses of US$750 billion per year. One in four calories for consumption is never eaten

Food waste due to problem in harvesting ,storage , packing ,transport , infrastructure or market/price mechanisms.

Improve action can take,

Take home your leftovers and try to enjoy/reuse them the next day

Order/purchase the amount /quantity you REAL need

To support local farmer and purchase food which produced in local can help to reduce fuel / un-necessary packing /delivery consumption
