The 6th grade science teacher, Mrs. Parks, asked her class,
"Which human body part increases to 10 times its size when stimulated?"

六年级自然科老师帕克太太，问她班上的學生，
“人体哪个部位，受到刺激時，會漲大到原來的10倍？ ”

No one answered until little Mary stood up, angry, and said, "You should not be asking sixth-graders a question like that! I'm going to tell my parents and they will go and tell the principal, who will then fire you!"

With a sneer on her face, she then sat back down.

没有一個人回答，直到小玛丽站了起来，生氣的说：“你不应该问六年级学生这種问题！我要告诉我的父母，他们会去報告校长，然後你就会被炒魷魚！ “

她的脸上露出一絲冷笑，然後坐回自己的座位。
Mrs. Parks ignored her and asked the question again,
"Which body part increases to 10 times its size when stimulated?"

Little Mary's mouth fell open; then she said to those around her,
"Boy, is she going to get in big trouble!"

帕克老师沒有理會她，并再次提出同樣的问题，

The teacher continued to ignore her and said to the class, "Anybody?"

Finally, Billy stood up, looked around nervously, and said, "The body part that increases 10 times its size when stimulated is the pupil of the eye."

老师仍然沒有理她，問全班同學说， “有人知道嗎？ ”

終於，比利站了起来，紧张的看了看四周，然後回答说：“人體受到刺激時，會漲大到原來的10倍的是眼睛的瞳孔。 ”

Mrs. Parks said, "Very good, Billy," then turned to Mary and continued, "As for you, young lady, I have three things to say:

1. you have a dirty mind
2. you didn't read your homework, and
3. one day you are going to be very, very disappointed."

帕克老师说， “很好，比利， ”然后转頭向玛丽说，“至于你，小姑娘，我有三件事要说：

1，你的腦子很骯髒，
2，你没預習你的功课，
3，將來有一天，你将會非常，非常的失望！
