Today, he can even call my name, but his memory was in my forties. This afternoon, he kept rushing me home. He said, "go home, your kids' home now, you need to take care of them." I talked to the doctor this morning. He said your grandpa has been improved a lot since he first came in. But it is also in critical condition again, as he memorizes more and more, he may try to suicide again and again since he had that intention before. The doctor said these following 3-5 months would be his dangerous period (危險期), we should be very cautious watching him if he is discharged to go back home. From: me To: kids Subject: Taoyuan Date: Tue, 16 Aug 2011 19:38:06 -0400 Dear all, I'm staying at my friend's friend's house in Taoyuan now. It has 10 stops by bus to see your grandfather. If by walk, it takes 40 minutes, but it is so hot here walking. 1st day when I visit your grandfather, he only recognized me for about a few minutes. The second day, he knew me most of the time until afternoon. I stay there from 9:00am to 6:00pm. He still doesn't have any appetite to eat. Yesterday, I only saw him eat four bites at lunch, and 1 bite at dinner. Take care! Eugene, be sure to eat your 3 meals. Mom |
