幾天前大哥寄了一個動人的故事給我們四個弟弟妹妹們。我們五兄弟姊妹除了哥哥外都是像這故事中么弟生於堅苦的1950年代!在這聖誕節前夕轉貼此故事和大家分享! The Most Memorable Christmas by Rev. Ronnie Johnson Each year as Christmas time approaches I am reminded of the most memorable Christmas of all. That Christmas was just the opposite of all the Christmases we had experienced as a family in the past. My mother and father had our fifth child in the family on December 4, 1957. He was a beautiful little blond headed baby. However, there was just one problem; he had only a short time to live. Due to my mother's RH Negative Blood Type and my father's 0 Positive our little brother was hopelessly ill from this blood composite. We were very small then and I still remember our father gathering all the rest of us children together. This was right before Christmas. He explained to us there would be no toys or gifts this Christmas because of the exorbitant expenses he and mother were going to have with our new little brother. That little family gathering was a shock to all of us children. We like most American kids then had our wish list already in place and were anxious to open our long awaited presents and gifts. Besides this, Christmas Eve was my sister's birthday. She, of course, did not even dare to bring that up --knowing there would be no money for Christmas, much less her birthday. After a very serious series of blood transfusions our little brother came home from the hospital. We all later agreed they must have put a tiger's blood in him because he became so big, so healthy and strong. Today he is about 6' 2" and a healthy adult. They say that "you don't miss the water until the well runs dry." Well you don't miss Christmas presents until you go through a crisis like our family experienced that most eventful Christmas Season. However, now as I look back on this Christmas, it became the most memorable Christmas of all. My brothers, sister and I received no toys, or gifts that Christmas, but we did receive a baby-a little baby brother. And when I think of the greatest and most memorable Christmas in history, our own world received a baby-a little baby brother who changed history, time and humanity. Our world has never been the same since; nor will ever be the same again. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. (Isaiah 9:6 KJV) O Holy Night O Holy night, the stars are brightly shining. It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh hear the angel voices! Oh night divine! Oh night when Christ was born! Oh night divine! Oh night! Oh night divine! Chains shall he break for the slave is our brother, and in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we; Let all within us praise his holy name. Christ is the lord, that ever, ever praise we. Noel! Noel! Oh night; oh night divine! Noel! Noel! Oh night; oh night divine! Noel! Noel! Oh night; oh night divine! |
