Not too long ago, McDonald's was selling 4 collectible Shrek glass. It had: Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona and Puss in Boots on them. A short while after they were being sold at McDonald's, they were being recalled because the glass itself contained cadmium. The glass had dangerous levels of the metal cadmium and it has been detected in the decorative paint used for the images. The Shrek glass was sold at about $2 each (USD). McDonald's said people who purchased the glasses should visit its web site at www.mcdonalds.com/glasses starting June 8 for instructions on how to return the glassware and obtain a refund. It is told that cadmium is very dangerous.
