Round-trip communication

Not long ago, I went to a bookstore and read the concept above.

Silence has its beauty most of time.

I appreciate that kind of silence most of time.

But I truly believe the successful or meaningful conversation must be built like a bridge or conducted like a ping-pong game.

Since we have ears, we learn to listen.

Since we have a mouth, we learn to express.

Since we have ears and a mouth, we learn how to respond toward whatever we have received with all our mights and minds and digested them in the pitch of understanding and appreciation.

One way trip is adventurous and mysterious.

Round trips with two-way communication are always thought-provoking and inspiring.

Actually, the viewpoint I wish to point out is that the beauty of languages or words have their charms and influence only when the writers touch the readers' hearts, enrich and broaden the readers' horizons and echo with the readers' inner voices.

dialougue vs. monologue

I agree with you, Helen. Monologuing is a one-way expression of one's own thoughts and ideas without hearing other's feedback, comment or reactions. It's not communication at all. A meaningful and productive communication should always be a two-way street.

Haha, I love what you said, " A two-way street."

Thanks for your insight.

Have a great night.
