會注意到這首英文歌，源自於一家銀行信用卡的電視廣告。有時真的不得不佩服廣告的行銷手法，雖然沒爲了它辦一張敗家的信用卡，但是卻是瘋狂的喜歡上這首歌和欣賞梵谷的畫作。

梵谷生平最受人愛戴的名畫就是1889年住在St.Remy精神病院內所畫的The Starry Night，也就是Don McLean在《Vincent》的第一句歌詞。這幅名畫現轉放於紐約Museum of Modern Art內。

1971年，美國鄉村民謠歌手Don McClean看到這幅畫之後，感觸極深地寫出這首《Vincent》來獻給梵谷。
