Such wish shows that President Ma does not understand Taiwaneses very well. If he spends some time reading Taiwan history he should know that Taiwaneses have being fighting each other for hundreds of years. See how modern Taiwaneses drive on the road and you will know they are not that different from their pirate or drifter ancestors. Unquestionably in Taiwan business world, although everyone knew a consolidated DRAM company was the only way for any Taiwan DRAM manufcturer to be able to compete with Samsung and to have some decent future, nothing happened even after Taiwan government intervention. As the President of Taiwan, you don't need to belittle your people but you do have to accept the fact that they are not that good-natured either. If you can not apprehend the ture situation, how can you expect to have any useful or effective measrues to run this country?
