Who are they, anyway?  They are the pet cats in the place of my brother-in-laws.  Willie Jr. (Why Jr.? Because I used to have a Blue Persian named Willie who died in 2009 at 15, so the family of my brother-in-laws named the newcomer after Willie.) is a Maine, the natural hunter among domestic cats; whereas, Dou Dou(鬥鬥, because he is a cockeyed cat) is an adopted stray Siamese.  So both of them are cats with good pedigrees. 

However, they have quite different habitual behavior with each other.  Willie Jr. is like a king of the house, and all of the spacious rooms are his domain.  People in the house, like his subjects, have to open doors to let him in and out for "excercising" or hunting several times a day.  Small rats, rabbits or even sparrows in the neighboring fields often fall prey to the claws of His Majesty.  Due to constant outdoor activities, Willie Jr. is still strong, agile despite he has been 13 years old already.  But he is very unapproachable, being like full of lofty disdain for the people around him. 

On the other hand, Dou Dou is too timid to get into the house, for he is afraid of Willie Jr. to death.  So he is roaming in the backyard as a stray cat like he used to be; the only difference is he has had his own "home" now to stay at.  But Dou Dou is so amiable that he always rubs my legs, turns himself around on the ground in a nearly obsequious manner when I am around.  Poor little cat!

Which one of them do I like better?  Its very hard to say.  Willie Jr. does always display the self-independent, alienating attitude towards humans, but isnt that part of the beauties particularly attributed to feline animal?  Dou Dou panders to his masters like a puppy; thats cute allright, but its not what we are expecting from owning a cat.  So dont be a biased owner, do love them all just because they are cats.
