The recent cold current has hit Taiwan these days, and hot pots have become the hottest food at home or in restaurants. In the same lane I am living in, there is a hot pot diner, and yesterday my wife and I decided to have our dinner there.

Unlike other traditional restaurants, the dinner serves each customer all the ingredients ordered and mixes them in one single, medium-sized pot with unlimited rice for free. The flavor? It is okay. The price? It is affordable. (No wonder the majority of its customers are young guys, like college students.)

But what impressed me most was its high efficiency. There are only two people who handle the whole thing: a man and a woman, like a young husband and wife. When we arrived there, it was a full house; about thirty customers were eating or being waited on. The man was concentrating on "cooking" according to different orders, and the woman, acting as the only waitress, clean lady, and cashier, was busy shuttling from each table to the counter. However, everything seemed to be under their control—no messed-up situation at all. Certainly, both of them concentrated on their hard work all the time, not to mention those jobs before and after the opening hours.

The performance of the couple signifies that as long as people are willing to do something, opportunities are everywhere.
