Recently, I moved from Neihu (where AIT is located) to Dazhi (where many military institutions are located). I found more and more Caucasian faces appearing on the streets, parks, and even markets in either place. From the way they are dressing and the way they are speaking, I can tell they are Americans, civilians living in Taiwan. Maybe not.

Could they be the latter-day "allies" to the ROC of the era before 1979? If so, believe me, they are the hoodoos to the ultimate safety of Taiwan.
