Recently, mostly due to economic downturn, American internet big shots, like Tweeter, Meta, and Amazon, etc., announced large-scale lay-off. The move stirred some arguments on the issue, including the one that some IT sophisticated programmers deliberately build up "moats" to prevent newcomers from joining the industry. Such a comment also reminded an online author of that Chinese classical articles had also built up similar "moat"---no punctuation. https://user.guancha.cn/main/content?id=888393&s=fwzxhfbt PS When in college, I selected a course of "History of Song Dynasty". You know what? In the final text of the term, the professor asked his students to punctuate the preamble of "On Song Dynasty" written by Mr. Wang Fuzhi. Some of my classmates were stumped. |
