Ms. Gong Lijiao just won the first gold medal this morning in the shot put of field and track, Tokyo 2020.  (I am not sure but maybe it is the very first time has any Chinese athlete ever won a gold medal in field items.)  Congratulations!

This has been the fourth time that Gong took part in that item at Olympics.  Previously she got a silver and a bronze apiece(She filled the vacancies because the original winners were later found doping.), and a fourth place.  Now she finally won her a gold medal in her own right.  You know, any one of her five attempts this time all exceeded that of the silver medalist, so awesome!
