Last evening we joined my daughter to an amusement park called Great America to watch a show of fireworks. The large park is located just next to that gigantic Levis football stadium, the home court of SFO 49ers, being not far away from where we are living at. So the combination of two huge arenas is too big for the people of Taiwan to imagine.

Actually we arrived the park around five in afternoon when there was still a long time away from the fireworks.  So we took our two granddaughters to ride on carousels, roller coasters, and so on, the typical fun for American kids.  Finally when the skylight began to dim around 8:30, the tourists started to move to a designated area, waiting for the fireworks display. 

At 8:50, explosive sound blasted out, and colorful lights spread all over the skies, lasting about 15 minutes.  You know, fireworks are usually displayed at celebrations, like Independent Day of yesterday.  But there were no images or words shown to celebrate the national birthday for the US.  It was simply a fireworks display.

PS  After the show, we spent nearly an hour to exit from the parking lot.  Oh my goodness.  BTW, about 90% of the tourists were wearing no masks in the park, and the masks almost covered the rest 10% with Asian faces only. Ha!
