Usually I dont watch movies on airplanes, for during flght time its good for reading or sleeping. But last night on the flight from San Francisco to Taipei I made an exception because I just couldnt resist that familiar and attractive title "Murder on the Orient Express".

The movie is a revival to the previous one of 70s, and both of them are an adaption of Agatha Christies namesake detctive novel. Because I havent watched Hollywood movies for so long a time that I dont have slightest impression on the actors and actresses of the new one. Who are they? But until now I can still remember the big names of the star-studded old one: Sean Connery, Anthony Perkins, Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, Venessa Redgrave, and so on.  Well, for the performance, both are excellent.

The cliffhanging storyline originated from a cause celebre: the kidnapping of Charles Lindberghs son.  The case might have inspired Christie to cook up the story that a group of avengers, being out of indignation, took revenge on the kidnapper and collaborated the murder on the train.  Through painstaking but smart investigation, that ingenious dective finally cleared up such a "criminal" case.

Who is Charles Lindbergh, anyway?  He is an American hero who is the first man ever accomplishing non-stop flight across Atlantic Ocean.

P.S.  If you know much about modern European history, youll be more interested in the story.
