The other day I told you guys that my son and his newly-wed wife now went on their belated honeymoon, and after that they would find a new place to settle down, so they sent their two cats to my place.  Its an onerous task for an old couple like my wife and me to take care of two young, energetic cats; but how could we say no to him?

Cats are animals, they need some living sphere, not just to be confined in the house all day long, so we let them go out to the back yard twice a day.  The question is, we dont have a small Dutch door to let them in and out.  Then what should we do?  We must open the screen door and leave the door open a little bit.  Now the open door invite unwelcome guests: flies.  You know the door to back yard is next to the kitchen, so I guess the flies must sense the smell of food and dash into the house whenever the door is open.  Its kind of a nasty job for us, dim-sighted seniors, to flap the flies away, or just to finish them.  So disgusting! 

Now the she-cat, Shasha, did the job for us.  Whenever she found a fly stopping on walls(not to high) or on floors, even on carpets, she would creep to near her prey, and all of a sudden, jump to snatch the poor little thing with her sharp claw, then "play" with it for a while and swallow it as a dim sum(oh, yuck.).  Shes never missed an attempt, and so far shes got at least ten already. 

What a swift, nimble, and gracefully sinuous movement that she has been performing!  Thats why I like cats, natural acrobats, though I dont like them doing unnecessary killings, for most of the time domesticated cats kill only for fun.
