It was 2 P.M. yesterday afternoon when we were in Alameda Country Fair my son-in-law showed his cell phone which was displaying the temperature then was F 102 degrees and expecting to be 106. Oh my goodness, no wonder I felt like that dreadful heatstroke hit me again because I was in a state of being thirsty, tired, sweating, and unable to concentrate. Unlike the high humidity combined with high temperature in Taipei that makes people no way to evade heat during summertime, here in the bay area or other places of California people just have to find an outdoor place in shadow, or an indoor place where there is dragt can circulate through, then they would cool themselves down in a minute.
Besides the heat, we had a happy time at Alameda Country Fair, a typical place for families to have a one day tour there: facilites for kids to play with like carousels, Ferris wheels, roller coasters, pony ridings, and so on. There are also adorable and friendly animals like rabbits, sheep, cows for children to foster a animal-loving sentiment. My daughter sold me the funniest event was baby pigs racing, but I was then so uncomfortable that I had to find a shady and cool place to drink my beer, so I missed the show.
