Phoebe Snow passed away today! The world remembers her as Phoebe Snow, I remember her as Phoebe Laub!

I will never forget the night of Bush’s reelection, a few of us did not want to watch the re-election result, and we so desperately wanted the Democrats to win. We decided to get together drinking tea and reminisce about our youth, the philosophy of life, music, jokes and of course politics! I will never forget how she could talk and talk, and the way she could carry on a conversation! I will never forget that she couldn’t stand the smell of banana. The way she ran away from bananas…...  

I will never forget how proud she was for her daughter.  I will never forget the glow she has when she talked about her daughter, Valerie!

I will never forget the day I watched her rehearsal without aid of instrument. The emotion, the voice has imprinted on my heart forever.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of knowing you, to experience and share your passion for life, and your incredible love and devotion toward your daughter. Thank you for letting me see her through your motherly eyes and feel her beautiful personality and human love.
