十六年前，東歐剛解體不久，我曾與朋友自助到東歐了。 可以想見，歷經十六年的時間，變化最大，當屬布拉格了。至少這是我的記憶。

當時，在斯洛伐克首都 布拉提斯拉瓦，遇到一位來自華沙的大學生，我們認識了，並在各自返國後，開始通信。只不過，在那個時候，距離太遙遠，難以維繫太多友誼，通信五年後，我們很自然失去聯繫。

大概也是因為，他後來認識一位日本女孩，去了日本學日語，而我也情有所屬，結了婚。沒想到，自己居然又有機會來到捷克，並如此靠近波蘭邊境，或許，也是這段往事，讓我特別喜歡波蘭。

去年，來到捷克，我試著寫信到他老家，也不甚確定那地址是否可以讓我再度聯絡到他。沒想到，聖誕節當天，收到他的 e-mai l ，我們又聯繫上了。那個印象中，還是大學生模樣的他，已經移居到德國，結了婚，有一個小男孩。

上禮拜，事先沒預料的，朋友一邀約，就去了華沙。我也沒想要跟他說一聲，總想，他應該在路程要八至十小時之外的德國。

回到 Ostrava 後，隔天早上，發了 mail 跟他說，我去了趟他生長的城市─ 華沙。晚上他回 mail 給我，「問我是否還在華沙？因為他人現在就在華沙」

阿！怎麼會這樣呢？

I thought you are still in Germany.

I could had met you if I  had known you were in Warsaw there previously.

Now I am in Ostrava (Czech).

It's pity that we miss the chance to see each other.

That's like we Chinese saying say " it is a Destiny".

Anyway, it's so nice to know you are in Warsaw.

At least, I think, we did have been in the same city at the same time even we didn't see each other.
