Dear Class Members:

            I thought the turnout last Saturday will be bleak as I only received four email responses and all of them were negative either out of the States or on a tour. I did not make phone calls this time. It was a pleasant surprise after all. We had 13 people came to this meeting:  

           Jennifer Chou (周樺), David Kin (金惠民), Amy and Joseph Hsiao (蕭冠英│符黛妮), Tseng-ying Fan (范增瑩), Wen-Yen Wu (吳文琰), Jean Liao (黃雅靜), Bill  and Jenny Yang (陳津源 │楊位剛) Lily Chen (任瑞麗), Sunny Lin (林三江), Sam Hsieh (謝三川), Hsiyann Yu (俞希彥) and myself.

Wen-yen’s seminar provided a total package of geography, history and religion using the colorful slides and video presentations. It was very educational. The only thing to be regretted is I was not able to give him more time for him to deliver more material or to continue an extensive discussion. In the end, I was pretty much overwhelmed. Perhaps another lecture down the road to fill in some missing links is not a bad idea.

            Jennifer gave a nice guided tour to our future web site and cursoring through all the utilities at our finger tips once you sign up as a member. She highlighted the key steps below for you to sign in as a member.

2, Activate your account by click the link in your e-mail sent by UDN.

3. At your own blog, go to "管理中心" then "身份設定", to type in your nick name(can be Chinese or English) also upload selected "肖像" for your image.

4. Apply for citizenship: https://city.udn.com/v1/city/index.jsp?gid=3819

    Click on "加入本城市" next to our city logo on up left corner.

5. Contact Mayor Ah-lim Tsai for your ID to be approved.

6. Now your are able to post any article on our city's "討論區", as well as set up your own blog.

Please email me once you apply to our group as a member so I can approve your membership. At this moment, I am the city major and all the co-captains: Wen-Yen Wu, Jerry Yang, Jean Liao, Amy Fu and Hsiyann Yu and Jennifer Chou are the deputy majors, who share most of the privileges as the major. We will upload pictures, articles, references, class contact information; open a discussion forum (blog) and other items as needed. The more usage will elevate our user level, thus the web space allocated. So, become a frequent visitor will be very helpful to our Web growth. Good hunting.
