《说文解字》把病释为“疾加也”，即比普通疼痛更严重的病症。若从风水角度看，病痛的加剧常与“五黄二黑”两大凶星相关。

《黄帝内经》更直接点破：“通则不痛，痛则不通”——疼痛的本质是气血运行受阻，或因寒凝、气滞、血瘀，或因外界环境干扰导致经络闭塞。
这种不通不仅存在于体内，更与家居环境的“气”流动密切相关。风水理论中，“气”是维持生命活动的基本能量，需在宅内有序循环——
走廊忌有杂物堆积。走廊是家宅的“动线”，属木（主生发、流通），若堆满旧物、垃圾，木气被遏，对应人体肝胆经，气血不畅，易引发胁痛、肩颈僵硬、下肢沉重、脚痛等症状。

“疾”字从“疒”从“矢”（箭），《说文解字》释为“病也，从疒矢声”，原指“被箭射中而受伤”，后引申为“突发、剧烈之痛”。

其深层隐喻是：生活中的“疾”常源于无形的“情绪之箭”——他人的误解、非议、背叛，如同暗箭穿心，导致七情内伤（怒伤肝、喜伤心、思伤脾、忧伤肺、恐伤肾）。
《素问·举痛论》明确指出：“百病生于气也，怒则气上，喜则气缓，悲则气消，恐则气下……惊则气乱，劳则气耗，思则气结。”负面情绪会导致气机紊乱，进而引发器质性病变。
