.............. 20250820 not sure it is MS helper can fix black screen PC back to normal (agent#1 did to spouse HD restore before repairing by mistake, ps after i decided to block my pc MAC address in admin to prove whether agent still can access my pc till 8/20 black screen fixed then changed block to allow so can verify wifi connection recovery too. it is a puzzle but suspect whether MS agents related to router company, i would say ISP workers less possibilty involved who declared only modem related to their job if only if modem-ISP server is working, they cant touch router must contact router company, can it be MS made black hole or AI in their updated app? if so then there is no need agents but tell users dont do anything when black screen happened their AI can auto repair, just be patient. my case is 8/12-8/20 then HD cant access data files and the pinned documents .. folders became empty. agent#2 called to spouse offered steps for my black screen pc which just began step2 and stopped didnt take any action due to worry wipped off my data files, sent email to confirm didnt receive his response) ............. update 8/23/2025 step1: black screen pc in [safe mode] Troubleshoot > Advanced options (>my case click F4 or) > Command Prompt. MS searched [cmd] selected [cmd with administrator] step 2: disable Safe Mode Boot Configuration. c:\windows\system32>bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot -- this removes the Safe Mode boot flag. ....................... ps 8/2/2025 (8/18/2025) sent to agent#1 as a mistake happened, i should pay attention and remind him. asked him how and when he is available perform restore in my pc but didnt response. so spouse contact again got agent#2. but they should be a team/group. i did worry didnt perform restore in my notebook would destroy HD data files? ps 8/18/2025 sent email to agent#2 as: Hello - when we typed c:\windows\system32 bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot showing : an error occured while attempting to delete the specified data element. element not found. i assume {current} should be c: related, but in safe mode what exactly should be? 2nd , it should be restart Troubleshoot > Advanced options safe mode (F4)in stead select command (F5?) ---correct not F5 but F6 in my notebook or doesnt matter? What do we do next — it ??? --8/23 the next day 8/19 tried again the same command works. very likely MS updating or else recover the missing bcdedit. ..... ps 8/18/2025 sent email to agent#2 as: pc auto popped up a screen : 1. for our location , spouse worried it looks like windows install and in the end would wipe off all data files , so searched on line: after "bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot" which got error, later popped up "choose privacy settings for your device", would windows settings destroy our data files?" it declared the bcdedit command just disable safe mode. wont delete data files. 2. popped up to allow OOBE create elevated object server, then did search again it shows might related to windows re-install and a risk wipe off all data files. so immediately closed the screen and turned off power. ps 8/23 afraid the AI or else continue perform would destroy HD data files so powered off. restart again to copy the same OOBE error message but cant find the data files many i made in ubs device were auto disappeared not sure what caused it. i believe it related to MS updating, such thing also happened in my HD before black screen happened. deeply suspect the worst notepad with links version caused it. finally can enter [safe mode] and examined this pc that [one drive] folder didnt change still data files still there. PS i tried to tell agent#2 data files in [one drive] still there not wiped off . May i ask you the steps you recommend wont wipe off our data files or it is re-install win11 and will erase all data files ? Sorry to inquire it because had bad experiences in the past. the pinned file folders disappeared did happen in this year earlier then windows uninstalled or re-installed another version fixed the problem. now it happened again not sure whether would recovery. quite scary. if possible can you tell me OOBE create elevated object server is safe to perform it wont losing data files then i would do it once receive your call or send me email. PS 8/23/2025 didnt see OOBE error message not sure it auto fixed or not. I am very willing cooperate with your guys under one pre-require condition that my data files wont disappear or wipe off by windows settings or else. Thanks for your guys help me. and i do have patient and also quite carefully ps do you think to buy ethernet converter so my black screen notebook directly connect to router could help your guys more easy? basically i dont think safe mode can allow to change network setting that 8/12 we went to buy router wifi 7 after Astound killed router with modem C3700 (and suggested to buy new modem CM1000), and router N600 was killed too. For security matter my notebook didnt set (file, printer)share and block readyshare MAC address. so deeply suspect directly connect to router could help. ps 8/25 (8/20) black screen auto fixed and can connect wifi so didnt buy ethernet converter. However your guys knew better maybe can, especially can see without wifi connected MS still frequently updating my notebook including file explorer 8/17 still ok but 8/18 pinned document, download folders became empty. our ISP is axx and router company is Nxx, notebook made by Lxx. they might work with MS. ..................................... step 3: restart your device ps pc (notebook) c:\windows\system32>exit then Select Continue to exit and boot into Windows normally. ps 8/25 it may wait till next several days, my case till 8/20 auto fixed black screen because i didnt finish step 2 that after restart popped up screen showing windows initial installation such as access your location... spouse also very neurvous that seemed wiped off all data files and others in HD. so searched and got it may not wiped off your data files, and safe to select Yes or No. then the next screen showed OOBE(not OOBC) failed can skip and continue Which i wont but closed windows. then wrote email to agent#2 whether it wont wiped off my HD data files but didnt response till today received agent#2 send email. why 8/20 auto fixed black screen i have no idea especially block my black screen pc mac address in router admin control devices (network) PS 8/23/2025 just returned new router, new modem so cant verify the previous admin. but you can figure out what i am talking about. 8/23/2025 now i need send email to agent#2 with case ID he emailed to me. about HD this PC c:\users\my-username showed [you dont currently have permission to access this folder]. click continue to permanently get access to this folder] which loop back no use. And Home pinned document and download folders were empty (i did copy external usb data file to the folders no problem). same other pictures...folders are empty (they were empty, i didnt use them) cross my fingers hoping my data files especially pinned [documents] still there. ............... while 8/18-8/20 busy in fix spouse pc screen popped up *.bpl missing after (agent#1)restored, many advertisements and 2 cant closed error messages. after i made Ubs Boot device not yet found reliable win11 23H2 to try reboot the black screen pc. so cant figure out why the black screen fixed today(8/20) but really cant happy that not only the pinned document folder, download data files.... became empty but this pc [document] and others dont have permission to access worse than last time can see [onedrive] now cant but new onedrivetemp. obviously either AI or else control my pc do whatever it wants that was no wifi connected. this earlier morning(8/20) searched showing even MS declared no force to users must allow MS updating but in the end it still updated your machine. my question is by AI that no need wifi connected or MS can but user eyes see no connection including (router) admin showed not attached to the router device? Any way life is sucks especially this year, no good news in usa so far. due to not knowing what behind the black screen and pinned [document] plus my pc wifi not connected, we decide to return new modem, new router (black door? lost confidence and trust) switch to another brand which verified was made in taiwan then transferred to China, was told 2 years warranty plus $14.99 2 years more with on-line supporting and declared within 5 years wont be replaced. if 5 years later can tell us frankly it is MS wont accept old router or admin updating (not because router broke) in stead kill the router as what happened to our C3700 and N600. i would stay with the China company made brand. Honest is the best policy. just found out today by search the brand which spouse thought also made in taiwan that usa didnt produce router and modem products. ps 8/22 received store emailed receipt on 8/21 10:14am this is also another puzzle frequently didnt receive but later days, but this one cant be 8/21 10:14am but 8/22(today) can it be possible att-yahoo received on 8/21 10;14am then delayed delivered 8/22 still as 8/21? or hacker stole our email then return back? the 3rd is after picked up spouse called me from clinic then my cell phone auto dialed unknown ph# 432-204-7108 Odessa, TX, ph#52- 2225508805 which should be mexico and called spouse 11+1 times my clinic office. see note 3 8/22/2025 spouse just told me about MS news as :[Did the latest Windows 11 update cause havoc with your storage drives? Microsoft wants to know] and [MS really wants people suffering HDD and SSD issues to step forward--seems blockaded no content but title], last night did try send email to agent#2 about HD [pinned document...] and this pc [document not accessible] which i almost believe MS tries to kill win10(upgraded to win11) notebook even just 1 yrs used as did the same in 2023-2024 crazy updating killed previous notebook. so bought the new one which the box labeled as win11 but found out in 2025 kernel is win10 upgraded win11 by factory. however was exhausted fell slept. now spouse going to visit doctor last time then mow the lawn and return new modem and router. maybe 8/23/2025 (x8/2/2025) send email. because without access HD pinned document would destroy my 2024(even earlier those back up all years data files)-till 8/12/2025 black screen happened hard working. the only hope and solution is to buy china made OS and notebook with antivirus if that works in usa. it is all about usa has too strong control desiring without knowing disqualified so made a mess. ps Windows 11 update linked to odd HDD/SSD bug: drives may vanish when moving/downloading large files. --PS 8/23/2025 am i right about it is win12 huge file not win11? win10 upgrade win11 is NTSC for huge file not FAT32 smaller file size. if just update win11 shouldnt cause download large file problem. Microsoft cant reproduce the issue or see telemetry spikes, and has no official support reports. If drives disappear, report via Support for Business or use Feedback Hub so Microsoft can investigate. Windows 11 updates causing issues arent a rare occurrence by any means; in fact, Id be more surprised if they didnt happen. However, only a few can claim to be as weird as a strange HDD and SSD bug, which people say is affecting their drives but is proving tricky to reproduce, if it even exists. Well, if youve experienced something funny going on with your drives, Microsoft would very much like to hear about it so it can fix it. --it depends whether MS helpers did the job to help users. different agent may cause different symptons due to user using different companies anti-virus app(i didnt deeply believe the simple the best except MS anti-virus apps, those no use new apps installed by MS updating i would uninstall them, spouse using IObit and others and let MS install any apps without uninstalled(told me dont fight against MS) but no black screen problem except agent#1 did restore in his HD in stead of mine. not mention after got black screen MS didnt tell in public their updating caused please dont do anything till MS uninstall/restore previous version or 8/20/2025 AI in updated app would recover/fix black screem. so i did several posters experiences but none caused HD problem included file explorer. until spouse contact MS helper (because i need his notebook to solve black screen problem, he cant use his then expect MS helper repairing, since 8/12 - 8/20 black screen mystery auto fiexed, 8/18-8/20 i had to full time fix agent#1 retore caused his notebook problem. 8/21 busy in replace new modem and router to China made quite satisfy their admin app. as the router lights (only one) didnt bother me but admin app i care(not yet verify all functions). 8/22 too many things to do (especilly to find an available doctor for spouse), 8/23 after mow the lawn may send email to MS helper see whether MS has solution for my case to restore pinned document, download files and this pc [document] can be accessible.
