【Samma Vayama (Right Effort)】

The right effort is to cultivate with wisdom to attain the truth of cittotpada (Buddhist enlightenment).

To go forward on the right path, one must practice diligently in a correct way.

There are some people who are very diligent but has gone awry, and yet still did not perceive it, they learn Buddhism in order to obtain abhinna (supernatural powers), and to be able to be better than others, to catch public's attention and arrogant, to defeat other people, these sort of diligent is useless.

In order to learn the Buddha wisdom, one must have the foolish old man's spirit, to learn Buddhism is to learn to have renunciation, Bodhicitta, and the Madhyamika (intermediate) right view.

How to treasure life? It is to practice diligently.

正確的努力,以真實的智慧來修習覺悟的真理。

走在正道上面前進,就是正的精進。

有些人精進但已經走歪了,自己都不察覺,學佛為了得到神通,勝過別人,引人注意現驕傲貢高,戰勝他人,這樣的精進是沒用。

學習佛慧要有愚公的精神,學佛是要學習,出離心、菩提心、中觀正見。

如何珍惜青春人生,就是精進而已。
