Living in Boston did not come to my mind until one day in the spring of 1991 I got the graduate school admission. At that time I was about to complete my military service in Pingtung. My ex-girl friend happened to be in Boston for a visit at that time. She called me: "Boston is beautiful ..." Great! But what did I know about Boston... not much... I knew MIT and Harvard is in Boston because I had a friend studying there. That's it. I could not think of anything else that Boston is famous for (There was a "BOSTON PIZZA" restaurant near my home in Taichung. I never went there since I did not think Boston is famous for pizza..) After 15 year, I find out there are many things that Bostonians are proud of. Let me mention few and see you agree:Harvard & MIT (if you don't know they are in Boston...) Boston Red Sox (Sorry, 王建民. I will root for you when you are not playing against the RedSox) Lobsters (the well known sea food in Boston. Most of the lobsters sold in Boston are caught in Maine coast.) Biotechnology Capital (I work for a biotech company. Boston has the most biotech company per area than any other cities.) Foliage (Leaves change colors in the last two weeks of October. You cannot miss it.) Boston Clam Chowder (I think a lot of Taiwanese will like it. It is really good!) Liberal in everything (Abortion, Gay Marriages - you name it.) The birthplace of the US (The first gun shot of independence was fired here.) New England Patriots (Go Pats! The Three Time Super bowl Champs. See my car license plate "NE668". The team was not that good in the 90's.) Kennedy Family (The forever Senator Ted Kennedy, I was on same plane with him once. He seems to be very easy going with.) What are your impressions about Boston?
